Ata ul Haq Qasmi is a famous Pakistani poet, newspaper columnist, playwright, and poet. He was born on February 1, 1943, in Amritsar, Punjab, British India. He is well known for writing newspaper articles and more than 20 books. In 1947, his family migrated to Wazirabad after the Independence of Pakistan. He started early education in Lahore, Pakistan, then he completed his education at MAO College, Lahore. He received numerous awards in his life including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2014 Hilal-i-Imtiaz Award in 2019.
